WATSON COLEMAN FOR CONGRESS CAMPAIGN RECEIVES AFSCME NEW JERSEY COUNCIL 63 ENDORSEMENT

EWING – Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman today thanked AFSCME New Jersey Council 63 President Steven Tully and their entire membership for endorsing her campaign for Congress in the Democratic Primary Election July 7th.

“I am thrilled to receive this endorsement and am looking forward to continuing to fight for all those working so hard every day to keep our communities moving forward,” said Rep. Watson Coleman.  “I was proud to push for the Heroes Act to try and protect frontline workers during this unprecedented global pandemic and provide those essential workers with an additional $15 per hour in compensation on top of their regular pay.  So many have risked so much to keep our society moving forward during the outbreak of this horrible virus and I will continue to fight for whatever relief we can provide to thank them for that tremendous sacrifice.”

“Congresswoman Watson Coleman is an advocate for public employees and the services that AFSCME members provide to the people of New Jersey.  Her recent vote in favor of the HEROES Act demonstrates her commitment to protecting the public services that the people of New Jersey and the entire country rely on,” said Steven Tully, Executive Director of AFSCME New Jersey Council 63.  “Congresswoman Watson Coleman has stood with AFSCME New Jersey members and we are proud to stand with her.”
