Wendy Neu, CEO, Hugo Neu Corporation, provides keys to statewide New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC) Employment & Training Center.
Kearny, NJ – A 25,000 square foot Employment & Training Center was presented to the New Jersey Reentry Corporation (NJRC) by Wendy Neu, CEO, Hugo Neu Corporation in Kearny, NJ.
The facility houses 9 classrooms and conference spaces where NJRC participants will receive training in six (6) major certification skill sets: 1) Solar Technology, 2) Construction Industry, 3) CISCO Certification Networking Technician Certification, 4) Automobile Mechanics Training, 5) SEIU/Health Care Maintenance, 6) GED/high school diploma, as well as, providing private access to Telemedicine and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).
Private business partners will work in partnership with NJDOL accredited training vendors to provide a substantive apprenticeship training. NJRC is currently recruiting program participants for the commencement of training classes, which will begin on Monday, April 26th.
The NJRC Training Center and “employer network” will mentor NJRC program participants who have enrolled in the Training Center with an employer onboarding process for those who have been deemed “work ready”.
Director Nick Toth, Office of Apprenticeship, NJDOL, commented that the job training pipeline NJRC is creating with NJDOL accredited training vendors will increase the income earnings, job retention, and career trajectory of NJRC program participants.
Wendy Neu, CEO, Hugo Neu Corporation, stated, “In a sense, my career has come full circle. My first job was working in a prison. This is a new beginning. This training center symbolizes hope, not only for the NJRC program participants, who will receive training, but for all of us.
As Wendy Neu handed the key to NJRC, Wendy stated, “This key means hope, transformation.”
