West Milford GOP Chair Conlon: Dale’s Hypocrisy Reveals True Motives
West Milford ~ Local GOP Chairman Matthew Conlon, one of the youngest municipal party leaders in New Jersey, scoffed at Dale’s ridiculous assertion that an inadvertent ‘like’ on a Facebook post constitutes support for any political official’s message.
Conlon, who was also recently elected as the Passaic County Young Republicans’ State Committeeman to the New Jersey Young Republican Federation, finds it hypocritical that Dale criticizes him for supporting a Republican candidate in a NJ congressional race while she fraternizes with Democrats and works to sabotage the election of Republican candidates for local office.
“I would love to know what Vice-Chair-In-Title-Only Michele Dale has done to support the West Milford Republican Party,” said Conlon. “Michele Dale ran against the party organization’s chosen candidates in the 2016 Council primary and lost by the widest margin in township history for a primary election. Since then, she has done nothing but work to sabotage the election of Republican candidates and fraternize with Democrats, including the sitting mayor who was elected as a Democrat 3 times and served on Democratic Rep. Josh Gottheimer’s women’s leadership team during the last election. By commenting on this to begin with, Michele Dale is focusing on an issue that is outside the purview of West Milford’s place in CD5. She should refrain from further comment on the matter and actually find a solid argument next time she seeks to criticize me simply because I hold the position she is looking to attain. Her comments show her true focus on activity outside West Milford, while I remain steadfast in my commitment to getting real Republicans elected to office in our wonderful township.”
