Willingboro Township to Host 41st Annual Jazz Festival this Sunday in Millcreek Park
Willingboro, NJ — Willingboro Township will host its 41st Annual Jazz Festival on August 11, 2024, beginning at noon in Millcreek Park. This year’s headliners include Philadelphia’s own Kindred the Family Soul and R&B singer, and rapper, Dwele. Other featured artists include the Urban Guerilla Orchestra, Exit 45 and Camden’s own Arnetta Johnson – the Trumpet Chic.
The Jazz Festival has a rich history in Willingboro Township, founded in the early 1980s by Saxophonist Billy Keil and Trumpeter Bill O’Donnell, who shared a vision of bringing their love of jazz music to the community stage in a style that had not yet been done before. Past headliners for the festival include Adam Blackstone, Jon B, Al B. Sure, CeCe Peniston, Big Daddy Kane, and Chrisette Michelle.
“The Willingboro Jazz Festival is a staple in this community as it unites our residents and visitors for wholesome fun through good music and entertainment,” said Township Manager Dwayne Harris. “We look forward to the opportunity to host this festival every year for all to enjoy.”
The 41st Annual Willingboro Jazz Festival is free to the public and will take place in Millcreek Park, located at 300 Beverly Rancocas Road, Willingboro, NJ 08046. The park will open to attendees at 11 AM, and the festival will begin at noon. Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs and charcoal grills and stay for a firework finale sponsored by Senator Troy Singleton to close the show.
In addition to Senator Singleton, this year’s sponsors include TD Bank, Willingboro Municipal Utilities Authority and McManimon, Scotland & Bauman.
