After Refusing to Meet Constituents Following His Deciding Vote to Gut Medicaid, Tom Kean Jr. Dashed Off to Florida with D.C. Lobbyists and Big Donor

 

After casting a deciding vote to make cruel cuts to health care coverage for millions of Americans and take food off the tables of hungry children and seniors, Tom Kean Jr. was caught dashing off to the Ritz-Carlton in Key Biscayne, Florida for a weekend reception with big donors and D.C. lobbyists.

Kean Jr. has yet to meet with constituents after voting to gut Medicaid to fund trillions in tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy.

It seems Kean Jr. is quickly following the NRCC’s advice to “stop holding in-person town halls amid a wave of angry backlash” over the GOP’s agenda.

When will he stop hiding?

DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“House Republicans like Tom Kean Jr. are refusing to meet with constituents after enacting the largest cut to Medicaid in American history. Kean Jr. is either too scared or just doesn’t care.”
