Assemblymembers Robert Karabinchak and Sterley Stanley Announce Re-Election Bid for New Jersey’s 18th Legislative District
EDISON, NJ – Assemblymembers Robert Karabinchak (Edison) and Sterley Stanley (East Brunswick) are excited to officially announce their candidacies for re-election to the New Jersey General Assembly, representing the 18th Legislative District in the 2025 Primary Election. After filing with the Division of Elections, they are ready to continue their work advocating for the communities they have served for years.
“We are thrilled at the opportunity to continue serving our communities, ensuring programs like StayNJ and ANCHOR continue to support homeowners, renters, and families across New Jersey,” said Assemblymembers Karabinchak and Stanley. “As former council members, we know that the foundation of good governance lies in listening to the people we represent. The ANCHOR program and SayNJ are essential to our districts, and we are committed to keeping these initiatives thriving and responsive to the needs of our residents. Strong legislation begins with strong local connections, and as your representatives, we will continue amplifying the voices of our neighborhoods to build a better, more affordable future for all."
Assemblyman Rob Karabinchak, a lifelong Edison resident, has deep roots in the district. A local business owner and dedicated family man, he has spent his career improving the quality of life for his fellow residents. Throughout his time in the Assembly, he has pushed forward economic development, infrastructure improvements, and policies to support small businesses and working families. As Chair of the Assembly State and Local Government Committee, he remains deeply committed to the 18th District.
“For the past nine years, serving the 18th District has been the honor of a lifetime,” said Assemblyman Karabinchak. “I’m grateful for the support I’ve received and will continue fighting for policies that benefit our communities, economy, and families.”
Assemblyman Stanley’s journey to public service began in East Brunswick, where he moved 25 years ago and quickly became active in his community. After serving on the East Brunswick Township Council, Stanley made history as the first South Asian State Legislator from Middlesex County. As Chair of the Assembly Regulated Professions Committee, Vice Chair of the Assembly Education Committee, and member of the Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee, he is proud of his work representing the district at the state level.
“I am excited to earn your trust once again and secure the privilege of representing our district in Trenton,” said Assemblyman Stanley. “Every day, I work to ensure our voices are heard, and I look forward to continuing that service with your support.”
Karabinchak and Stanley’s leadership has brought millions in funding to the district for critical infrastructure projects and policies to reduce the financial burdens on families. They have also strongly advocated for free school meals for working-class students, environmental protection, and support for the dedicated first responders who protect their communities.
The 18th District is one of New Jersey’s most diverse and vibrant, encompassing the communities of Edison, East Brunswick, Highland Park, Metuchen, Milltown, South Plainfield, and South River. From Edison Tower to Veteran’s Park, these communities deserve unwavering and dedicated representation in Trenton, and Karabinchak and Stanley are committed to continuing that service.
“We are honored to represent these incredible communities, and we look forward to the opportunity to continue advocating for them in the Assembly,” they added.
