Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey Joins Circulate NJ

East Brunswick, N.J. – Circulate NJ today announced that the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey has added its name to the growing list of coalition members. They join Circulate NJ’s actively expanding list of 40+ member organizations, with representation from all sectors of the logistics industry—which encompasses the Transportation, Logistics and Distribution (TLD) industries that fuel our supply chain—including port workers, warehouses, retail developers, trucking companies, and more.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey to Circulate NJ. The organization not only knows the ins and outs of the logistics industry but is an expert at educating stakeholders and the public on issues. Their insights will be of key value to the coalition as we continue to inform the public about the benefits of TLD industries,” said David Greek, Chair of Circulate NJ and Managing Partner of Greek Real Estate Partners.
The Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ) is the region’s largest, most active and influential business organization. It represents the seven counties of Southern New Jersey along with Greater Philadelphia and Northern Delaware. The CCSNJ is a member-driven organization that, for over 150 years, has advocated for equitable economic prosperity by uniting business and community leaders. It serves as the South Jersey business community’s voice in Trenton, advocating for initiatives that will improve the state's business climate.
Circulate NJ’s wide-ranging coalition members are driving economic growth and success in towns across the state. Data from the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development shows the numerous benefits the TLD industry provides New Jersey, including:
- Supporting more than 400,000 jobs
- Employing 12% of the state’s private work force and providing 12.7% of New Jersey private sector wages
- Providing an average $75,000 annual industry salary
- Contributing $62.5 billion, or 10%, to New Jersey’s overall GDP
Circulate NJ’s members are also a leader in the environmental cleanup of brownfield sites. These hazardous locations often cost millions to rehabilitate and make usable for the public. Circulate NJ’s members have taken the initiative to clean up and reuse these sites across New Jersey, from Jersey City to Lower Alloways Creek and points in between.
Additional coalition members will be announced in the coming weeks and months.
