College Democrats of America and College Democrats of New Jersey Endorse Steve Fulop for Governor

The College Democrats of America (CDA) and the College Democrats of New Jersey (CDNJ) have officially endorsed Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop in his campaign for Governor of New Jersey. This endorsement reflects Mayor Fulop’s proven leadership, progressive vision, and commitment to investing in the future of young people across the Garden State.

"College Democrats of America is proud to endorse Mayor Steven Fulop for Governor,” said Aidan DiMarco, Membership Director of the College Democrats of America. “New Jersey deserves a candidate with progressive, comprehensive policies who stands up to corruption, has a proven track record of delivering for New Jerseyans, and prioritizes the needs of everyday people over appeasing the political establishment. Mayor Fulop is that candidate, and we are proud to support him."

As a Marine veteran and three-term mayor, Fulop has transformed Jersey City into one of the most dynamic and progressive cities in the nation. His leadership has expanded affordable housing, increased investment in education, and positioned Jersey City as a national leader in sustainability and innovation. His candidacy represents a forward-thinking approach to governance, one that prioritizes working families, students, and the next generation of leaders.

"We are excited to announce that Mayor Steven Fulop has received the College Democrats of New Jersey endorsement for Governor, and we look forward to the upcoming primary,” said Ian Mann, Treasurer of the New Jersey College Democrats. “We're eager to continue our work to make this primary season as productive as possible, and to keep New Jersey blue this November."

Mayor Fulop expressed gratitude for the endorsement, emphasizing his commitment to empowering young voters and making New Jersey a place where they can thrive.

“I’m honored to have the support of the College Democrats of America and the College Democrats of New Jersey,” said Fulop. “Young people are driving the future of our state, and as governor, I will work to ensure that every student and young professional has the opportunity to succeed, whether through affordable higher education, job creation, or forward-thinking policies that make New Jersey a better place to live and work.”

The endorsement from CDA and CDNJ marks a significant boost to Fulop’s campaign, as young voters remain a key constituency in the upcoming election.
