CUMBERLAND COUNTY DEMOCRATS ENDORSE STEVE SWEENEY FOR GOVERNOR
Woodbury, NJ – Today, the Cumberland County Democrats voted to officially endorse Steve Sweeney to be New Jersey’s next governor. This win marks Steve’s third win of the convention season, fresh off last week’s victories in Burlington and Atlantic Counties. Cumberland County Democrats endorsed Steve in recognition of his proven record and continued mission to make New Jersey more prosperous, safer, and more affordable for working families.
Steve Sweeney has issued the following statement:
“I’m honored to have the backing of the Cumberland County Democrats, and I promise to always have their back. Our campaign is resonating with voters because I’m talking about the issues that matter most, and I’m not treating South Jersey as an afterthought – something that’s all too common when decisions are made in Trenton.
As Governor, I’ll make sure Cumberland has a seat at the table. With Cumberland County’s support, we’re just that much closer to cutting taxes for seniors, energy diversity to lower costs, and providing a one-time $400 check so New Jerseyans can get by in the economy Trump is destroying. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, and I look forward to earning every single vote along the way.”
