Esposito and McManus Announce Candidacy for Assembly in LD-4

Amanda Esposito and Gerard “Jerry” McManus announce their candidacy for Assembly in New Jersey’s 4th Legislative District. The district encompasses 10 municipalities spanning 3 counties including Camden County with the municipalities of Chesilhurst, Gloucester Township, Waterford, and Winslow Township; Gloucester County with the municipalities of Franklin Township, Monroe Township, Newfield Borough, and Washington Township; and Atlantic County with the municipalities of Buena and Buena Vista.
Their announcement underscores a steadfast commitment to amplifying the voices of LD4 residents and businesses in Trenton. With the campaign slogan “It’s About You LD4,” Esposito and McManus emphasize a bottom-up approach dedicated to representing the needs of the district at the state level. Their strategy aims to elevate LD4’s priorities by ensuring that all constituents’ voices resonate powerfully in legislative discussions, with a strong emphasis on open communication and transparency.
Amanda Esposito, a lifelong resident of Legislative District 4, grew up in Washington Township and graduated from Washington Township High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History with an Interdisciplinary Concentration in Law from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), and a Master's Degree in teaching social studies (TCNJ). Amanda was a Student Government Senator and member of the Legal and Governmental Affairs Committee. For the past 13 years, Amanda has taught middle and high school students BSI English and History.
A strong advocate for school funding reform, in 2023 Amanda ran for Assembly and came within 3 points of flipping the district. She is committed to addressing COVID-19-related learning loss and protecting parental rights. Since losing her father, Michael Esposito, to pancreatic cancer in 2018, Amanda has been an active fundraiser for the Pancreatic Cancer Network. Amanda resides in Gloucester Township and is dedicated to improving her community.
