Passaic County Conducts Emergency Threat Scenario to Enhance Safety Preparedness

PATERSON, NJ – On Wednesday, April 2, Passaic County Administration, the Passaic County Vicinage, and the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office conducted a comprehensive emergency threat scenario at 401 Grand Street and the Passaic Vicinage Court Complex. The drill, designed to enhance emergency preparedness, provided an opportunity for staff and judges to develop a safety plan in the event of a real emergency threat.

The exercise, which was conducted in a controlled environment, included law enforcement role players and simulated emergency conditions. The goal was to assess response protocols and ensure all personnel understand how to protect themselves and others in a crisis.

“This drill is an essential component of our ongoing commitment to public safety and emergency preparedness,” said Passaic County Sheriff Thomas Adamo. “By training in a realistic setting, our officers, court staff, and county employees can be better equipped to respond in the event of an actual emergency.”

"This drill reinforces the importance of being prepared, ensuring that everyone in our government facilities has the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in an emergency.”
