Mikie Sherrill released the following statement today after receiving more than twice as many votes as any other candidate at the Ocean County Convention:

“I’m so grateful for today’s strong show of support as our momentum grows across New Jersey. Ocean County is one of the reddest in the state, and Democrats here know the importance of building coalitions to win tough races. We are showing up everywhere to share our vision, no matter the odds, because fighting for our future is simply too important — and I have always run toward the fight. With the chaos and corruption coming from Trump’s Washington, we have to fight back and move forward here in New Jersey. Jack Ciattarelli or Bill Spadea in the governor’s office would cost us everything — from our pensions and abortion rights, to our transportation infrastructure projects and higher housing costs. I’ve won tough races and delivered on issues that seemed impossible — and am ready to win again in November.”
