Tom Kean Jr. — no stranger to dodging questions from his own constituents and the press — refused to answer live questions from the people he represents during a so-called town hall last night.
Insider NJ reports: “Thomas H. Kean’s ‘telephone’ town hall Wednesday night included no one asking questions on the phone. Instead, an aide read submitted questions and the CD-7 congressman answered them.”
Perhaps Kean Jr. was too afraid to face his constituents over his vote to enact the largest Medicaid cut in history or his support for a plan to unleash economic hell on the American people through a de facto sales tax on automobiles and other goods.
Or maybe, more simply, Kean Jr. lacks the courage to face his constituents in-person and defend the reckless policies of his Republican majority.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Tom Kean Jr. is a spineless politician who refuses to talk about the issues that matter most to his constituents. He will lose his seat next year.”
