Public Strategies Impact announced a strategic partnership with former Murphy campaign manager and Essex Freeholder Brendan Gill and his firm The BGill Group, LLC.

“This partnership will be an extension of our relationship, expanding the specialties offered by both firms,” said Roger Bodman, Managing Partner, Public Strategies Impact. “Brendan has a diverse political background, with experience in public service and political campaigns, which has helped cultivate a unique skill set that will be tremendously beneficial to our team.”

Before Murphy, Gill’s earlier government experience is extensive: Senior Advisor to U.S. Senator Cory Booker, State Director for the late U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg, District Director for Congressman Steve Rothman, Aide to Congressman Bill Pascrell, Chief of Staff to Assemblyman Peter Eagler, and Communications Director for the New Jersey Department of Transportation under two commissioners. Gill was elected to the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders in 2011, 2014 and 2017 and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Board.

In addition to his government roles, Gill has extensive campaign experience. He served as the campaign manager for the successful election of Governor-Elect Phil Murphy in both the primary and general elections in 2017.  He managed U.S. Senator Cory Booker’s 2014 reelection campaign as well as the late U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg’s 2008 primary and general election campaigns, helping him become the longest serving U.S. Senator in New Jersey history. His campaign experience also includes working for Congressman Albio Sires’ first congressional race in 2006, U.S. Senator Robert Menendez’s 2006 campaign, where Gill served as the Statewide Field Director, managing Congressman Bill Pascrell’s reelection campaign in 2000 as well as working on numerous county and municipal races throughout New Jersey.

“My relationship with Brendan, both personally and professionally, has spanned over two decades. I am confident that PSI’s partnership with Brendan will be a major benefit to our current and future clients,” said Bill Maer, Senior Partner, Public Strategies Impact. “This new strategic agreement will bolster our capabilities and delivery of services.”
