Rahway Mayor Samson Steinway stayed away from his political denouement on Monday night, as Assemblyman Jim Kennedy supplanted the troubled mayor, behind the wheel lately of a couple of car crackups, with Kevin O’Brien to lead the local Democratic Committee.

“Didn’t show,” the source told InsiderNJ, when asked if Steinman put up a resistance.
