In Red Bank, DuPont Weighing Primary Challenge to Menna

Former Red Bank Councilman Michael DuPont is notifying the rank-and-file in the Borough of Red Bank that he is planning a primary challenge to long-time Mayor Pasquale Menna. Democrats control the council 4-2 after knocking off another incumbent Republican this year.
DuPont, a long-time ally of Governor Dick Codey (pictured) who was appointed as a Commissioner at the Turnpike Authority as a Commissioner by Codey, is telling Democrats he will run only if he gets the local and county support. DuPont was ousted from the Council in 2015 by local Republicans.
