Repollet Scheduled for Senate Budget Committee Hearing Tuesday

Denied a vote by the entire Senate, Acting Commissioner for the NJ Department of Education Lamont Repollet will go before the Senate Budget Committee on Tuesday afternoon amid pushing and shoving over his nomination by Governor Phil Murphy and Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3).

The Senate Budget & Appropriations Committee will meet on Tuesday to review Governor Murphy’s FY-2019 budget proposal for the State Judiciary, which will include an update on bail reform, and the Department of Education, including school funding, as well as the Schools Development Authority, according to Sweeney’s Office.

1:30 p.m. – Acting Commissioner of Department of Education Dr. Lamont Repollet; Charles B. McKenna, Chief Executive Officer, Schools Development Authority.
