According to a report in the Daily Record, Assemblyman Michael Patrick Carroll is contemplating a run for Morris Surrogate in June 2019.  Sitting Surrogate Pecoraro confirmed he won't be seeking re-election.  Responding to the article this morning on his Facebook page, the Assemblyman said he's been interested in the surrogate position for a long time but, "of course, give me a legislative majority, where there exists a real possibility of making NJ a better, freer place -- rather than simply standing athwart (often unsuccessfully) efforts to do real harm -- and all bets are off."
