Report: Guadagno Urged By GOP To Run For Assembly

According to a More Monmouth Musings report, former LG Kim Guadagno is being urged by some Republicans to undertake an Assembly bid in LD13.

Assemblywoman Amy Handlin is opting out of a re-election bid this year.

The report says that Assemblywoman DiMaso is one of those urging Guadagno to run on a ticket with her, telling MMM that the former LG ‘would immediately magnify the opposition voices to the Murphy Democrat agenda.  Serving in the legislature would give her a record separate from the shadow of Chris Christie and position her well for another run for governor’.

According to the report, Guadagno has previously turned down overtures for her to run.

  1. Why put all that effort and money into the lowest statewide office after you have been #2? The former Lt. Gov. doesn’t need to be the one with the least seniority of a dwindling minority.
