Report: Paterson BOE Prez Irving in the Running for Department of Education Gig

Paterson

The man who has served as president of the Paterson school board for three of the past four years said he will not be seeking that leadership position in 2018, fueling speculation that he may be in the running for a job in Trenton with Gov.-elect Phil Murphy, according to a report by veteran Paterson reporter Joe Malinconico of NorthJersey.com.

A source earlier this evening confirmed that School Board President Christopher Irving is indeed poised to go to the Murphy Administration, maybe to head the Department of Education.
