The Salem County Department of Health and Human Services wants to inform residents of an additional three confirmed COVID-19 cases in Salem County on Monday, April 6th. We also have our third COVID-19 associated death of a previously confirmed case. This brings our total county positive case count to 29 and our total deaths to three. The three new cases are as follows:

• A male in his 60s from Lower Alloways Creek
• A female in her 30s from Monroeville
• A female in her 70s from Pennsville

There was an additional case reported on April 4th; the one new case is as follows:

• A male in his 50s from Pilesgrove

The Salem County Department of Health advises residents to continue to practice social distancing and remain vigilant in the efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We are working attentively to address concerns surrounding availability of testing and will continue to inform residents as new information arises.

The NJDOH reports that as of Tuesday, April 7th, there are 44,416 COVID-19 cases statewide and 1,232 fatalities.  That’s an increase of 3,361 cases and 232 deaths since Monday.
