Salem County Reports 5 New COVID-19 Cases; 24 Total as of Thursday

The Salem County Department of Health and Human Services wants to inform residents of an additional five confirmed COVID-19 cases in Salem County on Thursday, April 2nd. This brings the total county case count to 24.

The county on Wednesday had reported three new cases, bringing its total to 19 a day ago.

The five new cases are as follows:

  • A female in her 30s from Carneys Point
  • A male in his 50s from Pennsville
  • A female in her 30s from Woodstown
  • A male in his 40s from Penns Grove
  • A male in his 30s from Penns Grove

The Salem County Department of Health advises residents to continue to practice social distancing and remain vigilant in the efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We are working attentively to address concerns surrounding availability of testing and will continue to inform residents as new information arises.

The statewide COVID-19 total is 29,895 cases and 646 fatalities as of Friday, April 3rd, an increase of 4,372 new cases and 113 fatalities since Thursday.
