Sarlo Selected to Join National Academy of Construction
Senator Paul Sarlo of New Jersey has been nominated and elected to the National Academy of Construction, a national organization headquartered at the University of Texas at Austin, that promotes, supports and evaluates construction practices and provides technical expertise to government, institutions of higher education, and industry leaders throughout the country. Academy membership is by invitation only and numbers less than 500 professionals and academics engaged in the field of construction.
“I am honored and humbled to be elected to the National Academy of Construction by my peers,” said Senator Sarlo. “This is a highly respected organization that government entities, universities and industry look to for expertise on infrastructure projects. Their input is invaluable for investments that serve vital needs and make important contributions to economic growth.”
The Academy is a federally recognized not-for-profit organization that honors the contributions of industry leaders, shares their expertise to improve construction practices, and supports the advancement of the next generation of leaders. The Academy works to promote industry standards for safety, professionalism and new ideas.
Senator Sarlo, a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, is a Licensed Professional Engineer and the Chief Operating Officer of Joseph M. Sanzari, Inc, one of New Jersey’s largest infrastructure construction contractors.
Senator Sarlo will be sworn into the Academy at the NAC’s annual meeting on October 10, 2024 at the Marriott River Center in San Antonio, Texas.
