PATERSON – School 25.

That’s where Ward 6 Councilman Ande Sayegh voted at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

He showed up with his wife and one of his daughters, went inside the school and then reemerged.

He was upbeat.

He’s in a rundown for the mayor’s seat in a six-man field with Alex Mendez occupying a galvanized base and Pedro Rodriguez offering a significant fundraising haul.

Sayegh lost four years ago in a mano-a-mano with the now jailed Jose “Joey” Torres.

A lot of the street buzz  this time is about how Rodriguez might have done enough to cut into Mendez, split the vote and give the well-organized Sayegh an edge.

But it’s not over.
