Singh Wants Van Drew to Join Him in Demanding Menendez’s Resignation

Republican Hirsh Singh has filed to run for Senator Cory Booker's U.S. Senate seat in 2020, reports the Shore News.

Republican candidate for Congress in the 2nd District Hirsh Singh today condemned Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) in the aftermath of a Senate Ethics Committee ruling, and called on Democrat Jeff Van Drew to demand Menendez’s resignation.

“In light of the Senate Ethics Committee report, it’s clear that Senator Bob Menendez broke federal law and completely abused his position as senator when he should have been serving the people. Jeff Van Drew should join me in standing up for the people of South Jersey and demand Menendez’s resignation.”

Singh and Van Drew are vying respectively for the Republican and Democratic nomination to succeed retiring U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-2).
