Senator Bob Smith Flexes His Muscles in Piscataway June 2019 Election

The Senate Select Committee on Economic Growth Strategies Meeting will hold its first meeting on July 29. Chaired by Senator Bob Smith, the committee was formed in response to the NJEDA tax incentive controversy and subsequent establishment of Governor Phil Murphy’s task force.

The Piscataway Democratic Committee under the control of state Senator Bob Smith (D-17) retained 45 of 47 contested seats.

Smith’s forces withstood a challenge from the Central Jersey Progressive Democrats.

There was some quiet hand-wringing in Smithville, however, over the two seats lost, to the leader of the resistance (Staci Berger) and her running mate Kamuela Tillman:
