Solomon Leaps into Ward E Council Race in Jersey City
James Solomon today announced his decision to run for a Ward E Council seat in Jersey City.
That’s the seat Fulop himself used as a spring board to go citywide.
The anti-Mayor Steven Fulop activist went to Harvard University and served on the staff of the mayor of Boston prior to moving to Jersey City. He also served in the Mayor Cory Booker Administration in Newark.
Currently he works as a professor at NJCU and Hudson Community College.
When he ran for mayor in 2013, Fulop supported incumbent Ward E Councilwoman Candice Osborne.
A source told InsiderNJ that he’s working hard to keep her on his ticket but a rumor is circulating that she may be wanting to opt out.
This is a developing story.
