Governor Phil Murphy jumped on the phones this afternoon with a fierce sense of urgency in an effort to change the minds of those lawmakers either on the fence or opposed to the [bubbleAutoLink text="recreational legalization" id="50562"] of marijuana.

For about the past 40 minutes "he's been burning up the phones," a Trenton source told InsiderNJ.

The governor planned to talk to both senators and assembly people before the day was done, the source added.
