Source: ‘On Fire’ Stack Looking to Set Personal Best in LD33; 12K Dem Votes Likely

Stack and Murphy

Herman Melville wrote Moby Dick, a meditation on our tragic human condition of not being able to let something go, which might be the cautionary response by Sacco World to the GOTV efforts of neighboring state Senator Brian P. Stack (D-33).

Stack wants to create numbers that have never been seen before in LD33, chasing what might be a white whale of 15,000 votes.

But if he can’t get that, he might be able to harpoon at least a beige whale, according to one well-heeled source observing the Captain Ahab-like actions of Stack.

State Senator Nick Sacco’s (D-32) machine has classically turned 10,000 in elections where the senator occupies the top of the district ticket.

Stack’s numbers generally look the same.

But this year, the Union City senator – who may be eyeing a longer term role as the de facto Democratic boss of the north – wants to go above and beyond.

“Brian’s crazy 2017 operation with a goal of 15K tough, but definitely easily 12K,” said a Hudson source.

Sacco will calmly hit 10K, the source added.

Stack won’t say he wants 15K out outside of a very small room, but he’s concentrating on nabbing voters who missed the last two elections. “He’s personally visiting them,” the source said. “he’s on fire.”
