After Harry Hurley broke the news about the imminent retirement announcement from U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-2), InsiderNJ tracked down a source close to former U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), now a resident of Brigantine.

Would Kennedy take a shot at the seat?

“Anything is possible,” the source said, and yet, he added, it’s unlikely Kennedy would run in CD2.

The source did say, however, that Kennedy would size up his chances at snagging a U.S. Senate seat in the event of a vacancy.
