Source: Paterson BOE Commissioner Irving To Resign; Take Position In DOE

A source tells Insider NJ that Paterson Board of Education Commissioner Chris Irving will resign on Wednesday to take a position in Governor Murphy’s Department of Education.  Irving is a former BOE president and recently earned his doctorate degree in education.  Insider NJ previously reported on the speculation surrounding a potential Irving departure.

The Board of Education, now helmed by Commissioner Oshin Castillo, will pick an interim replacement for Irving’s seat.
