A source in the orbit of embattled Mayor Jose “Joey” Torres said the mayor has no plans to resign as he attempts to position himself to stare down imminent corruption charges.

“You know he’s going to dig in,” the source told InsiderNJ.

Torres is a close political ally of U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ), who remains in office despite having eaten federal corruption charges in 2015 – nearly two years ago.
