Turnout is “very high for this point in the day” in that little Hunterdon County river town known as Lambertville, home to numerous Trenton insiders, according to sources on both sides of a local contentious fight.

Twenty-year incumbent Mayor Dave DelVecchio is looking to win another four year-term, but he has to get through challenger Julia Fahl if he wants to win the Democratic Primary in this prodigiously Democratic town.

Both DelVecchio and Fahl sources confirm high voter turnout.

“Quite a bit of activity in Lambertville,” said a DelVecchio ally.

The source later added, “super high” in regard to turnout.
