Stack Gives Murphy Props at Graycliff Bash

Insider NJ editor Max Pizarro gives an inside look at the political drama surrounding the NJ budget for 2020.

MOOANCHIE – State Senator (and Union City Mayor) Brian P. Stack (D-33) at his Civic Association event this evening gave a big, rousing welcome to Governor Phil Murphy.

And he noted the recalcitrance of the legislature, whose leadership has frequently tried to undercut the Democratic executive.

“Phil Murphy has always been about the people,” Stack told a packed house here at Graycliff.

“It’s not easy in New Jersey,” he added. “It’s easier to work with the people than it is with the senators and the assembly sometimes.”

Stack greets Murphy.
