Stack Says He Seeks ‘Monster’ Menendez Numbers in 2018

Stack and Murphy

Senator Brian P. Stack (D-33), who produced a lopsided 36.5K to 4.9K general election win over perennial GOP challenger Beth Hamburber, tonight said he wants to contribute a repeat performance next year on behalf of U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ).

“Bob has always been a friend to Hudson and on a personal level, I am happy for him,” said Stack. “Let’s put this behind us and do what we do best – gear up for election season and have a monster turnout for Senator Menendez.”

Earlier this evening, Hudson County Democratic Organization (HCDO) Chairman Vincent Prieto issued a statement of support for Menendez.

While they did not agree on legislative leadership (Stack backed Prieto nemesis Senate President Steve Sweeney) for a return to the senate throne, and appears to be poised to challenge the power structure around Prieto for the chairmanship, the two Hudson Democrats agree emphatically on Menendez.
