Stack to Voters: ‘Yes, Menendez has Made Mistakes… but No One Can Deny’ His Dedication

Toiling for the reelection of U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) in the incumbent’s hometown, state Senator (and Mayor) Brian P. Stack in a letter to voters reminded them of what for him are the stakes in this upcoming election.

Stack acknowledged that the Senator isn’t perfect, but – in the face of a negative campaign – pledged his full support to Menendez.

“While Bob’s opposition may try and sling mud, it is important to focus on the commitment of Senator Menendez to Hudson County,” wrote Stack. “Yes, Bob has made some mistakes like all human beings have, but no one can deny his dedicated work on behalf of New Jersey residents. During a time of such political and governmental turmoil in our nation, strong leadership is needed. We need to re-elect Senator Menendez to counter the scary and hurtful policies of the current administration in the White House.”

Stack and Menendez have a decades-long political relationship forged from the fibers of the Bill Musto years. The latter continues to run one of the state’s most reliable political machines, proved to be at its operational best in last year’s election.

  1. Count me among the millions of NJ voters who despise Trump, but will not vote for the corrupt, arrogant Menendez. The Democrats really shot themselves in the foot by sticking with this sleaze.

  2. No way I could cast my vote for Mr Menendez.

His only major accomplishment was avoiding a conviction based on a hung jury.

It is embarrassing that Democrats could or would not push Bob “what’s in it for me” Menendez off the ballot and offer an untainted candidate.

I will be voting for Bob Hugin because criminality can not and should not be rewarded.
