Stack Welcomes Murphy to Union City Block Party; Gov Drills Down on Millionaire’s Tax

Gov. Phil Murphy was a presence in Hudson County as he attended Senator Brian P. Stack's block party in Union City to promote his Millionaire's Tax and honored in Jersey City by the Hudson County Democratic Organization.

It was all Phil Murphy all the time in Hudson County tonight.

His Hudson County Democratic Organization (HCDO) allies under the leadership of Chair Amy DeGise honored him in Jersey City.

In the meantime, the governor appeared with powerful state Senator Brian P. Stack (D-33) at his block party in Union City.

Over 5,000 people showed.

Pictures of Murphy and Stack danced in the sea of humanity.

Murphy onstage recounted all the success he’s had ($15 min wage, prioritizing NJ Transit, etc), and said the state needs a millionaire’s tax to continue to fund priorities.

In the middle of an intensifying budget war in which Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) opposes a millionaire’s tax, he praised stack, U.S. Rep. Albio Sires (D-8), Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise and all Hudson electeds.
