It was all Phil Murphy all the time in Hudson County tonight.
His Hudson County Democratic Organization (HCDO) allies under the leadership of Chair Amy DeGise honored him in Jersey City.
In the meantime, the governor appeared with powerful state Senator Brian P. Stack (D-33) at his block party in Union City.
Over 5,000 people showed.
Pictures of Murphy and Stack danced in the sea of humanity.
Murphy onstage recounted all the success he’s had ($15 min wage, prioritizing NJ Transit, etc), and said the state needs a millionaire’s tax to continue to fund priorities.
In the middle of an intensifying budget war in which Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) opposes a millionaire’s tax, he praised stack, U.S. Rep. Albio Sires (D-8), Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise and all Hudson electeds.
