Stewart Ready to Run in LD-35
Kenyatta Stewart will seek one of two Assembly seats in the 35th District.
Stewart, a city of Paterson Native intends to seek one of two seats in June 2025 Primary. Kenyatta is the Corporation Counsel for the city of Newark, where he works with Ras Baraka who is also running for Governor in the June 2025 election.
Stewart is a strong candidate with strong community ties to the City of Paterson. He has a very close relationship to many elected officials from the district including newly appointed Senator Benji Wimberly and Assembly Women Shavonda Sumter. He hopes to use his relationships with local elected officials Paterson School Board members Kenny Simmons, Valerie Freeman and Corey Teague, Paterson Council members Michael Jackson, Luis Velez, and Ruby Cotton, who all appeared for the grand opening at Ras Baraka’s Paterson Headquarters.
He is expected to make his official announcement next week Thursday.
