Sussex County Democratic Committee Chair Leslie Huhn today announced the appointment of Hardyston resident Michele Van Allen to  the position of Communications Director  by the unanimous support of the SCDC Executive Board.

Van Allen presently serves as a Sussex County Democratic State Committeewoman and serves on the MUA Board for Hardyston Township.

She ran a losing campaign for Sussex County Freeholder in 2015.

“I am thrilled Michele will be serving the Committee  as Communications Director,” said Huhn. “Michele brings both energy and commitment to our Democratic  values; we are fortunate to have her serve in this volunteer capacity.  Michele is looking forward to helping the Democratic Party grow in Sussex County by increasing our outreach efforts.”

“I am excited to take on this role with the SCDC,” said Van Allen. “It is wonderful to promote the growing and building potential of the State Democratic Party within the County of Sussex. I am honored to part of this incredible Democratic Political Organization.”
