Senate President Steve Sweeney (D-3) is stepping up his involvement in the general election in battleground LD8.

That’s the race featuring incumbent state Senator Dawn Addiego (D-8) against GOP challenger Assemblywoman Jean Stanfield (R-8).

Sweeney raised money last night for Addiego in LD8.

The event Friday in Mount Holly solidified labor support for the senator with Sweeney headlining the event along with Wayne DeAngelo (IBEW 269) and Dan Cosner (IBEW 351).

One insider noted that every building trades local you can think of was in attendance.
