Paramus Councilwoman Weber Demands Saudino Resignation

PARAMUS, NJ — Republican Mayoral Candidate, Councilwoman Jeanne Weber, is calling on Mayor Rich Labarbiera and the entire Paramus Council to demand the resignation of his political ally Sheriff Michael Saudino in the wake of a recording disparaging numerous ethnic communities including but not limited to African-Americans and Sikhs.

Labarbiera recently praised Saudino at a press conference in Paramus where Saudino endorsed Congressman Josh Gottheimer.

“Paramus is an extremely diverse community which I am proud of,” said Weber, “the people deserve a Sheriff who does not enforce the law based on stereotypes and his personal bigotry.”

Weber is calling on Labarbiera to immediately demand the resignation of Saudino . “While Mayor Labarbiera has loudly propped up his friend and ally in the past, his silence at this time speaks volumes.”

“As an immigrant to this country, I am appalled that Sheriff Saudino sees the accomplishments of immigrants and minorities as based on their heritage and not merit.” said Council Candidate Mohammed Reda. Council Candidate Jorge Quintana added, “This is how the law was enforced in Communist Cuba and that is why I came to America, No one wants to see that here.”
