NJEDA Task Force Report Presents Email as Possible Evidence of False Application

The Freeholder fight unites more than it delights.

The release this evening of a report issued by the Governor’s Task Force examining the use of NJEDA [bubbleAutoLink text="tax incentives" id="55148"] in Camden contains an exhibit of particular interest to the larger scope of the case.

It is a 2014 email communication between a representative from Cooper Hospital and a real estate rep., presented by the task force as evidence of a misleading or false EDA application process undertaken to prove - even without the probability of it happening - relocation out of state to land a reward from the state of New Jersey.

There may be more here than meets the eye, but undoubtedly the exchange will spark inquiry in the days to come.
