The Jackals Ready to Play at Paterson’s Historic Hinchliffe Stadium

On Wednesday, April 26, 2023, Mayor Andre Sayegh and NJ Jackals General Manager Bobby Jones will announce that Jackals game tickets are officially available. Tickets for all 54 games, including the Johnny Briggs Highschool Baseball Classic scheduled for Sunday, May 7, can be purchased at www.Jackals.com.

The NJ Jackals will kick off their inaugural season at the Historic Hinchliffe Stadium on Sunday, May 20. The team will host promotional events throughout the season, including the following:

 

  • May 20 – Negro League: Cubans versus Black Yankees
  • June 11 – Roberto Clemente Jersey Retirement
  • June 19 – Juneteenth Commemoration with Fireworks
  • June 25 – Brothers United Bicycle Club Night
  • June 30 – Dominican Republic Night
  • July 3 – Independence Day Celebration
  • July 5 – Larry Doby Jersey Retirement
  • August 4 – Little League Night
  • August 31 – Day of the Babies

  1. Is there a museum on the renovated and expanded Hinchliffe Stadium grounds? I’d like to pay a visit. (This is Not to be confused with the nearby Paterson Museum.

  2. The ribbon cutting ceremony was pretty monumental. It was a thrill to enter the gates of a legendary Negro League stadium for the first time. Hoping to see more acknowledgements and honoring of the rich Negro League history .
