The candidates for Morris GOP chair are greeting voters with drinks and snacks as tonight’s convention in Parsippany begins to take shape.

Ronald DeFilippis’ slogan for the night is “One Party, One Voice.”

His competitor, Robert Zwigard, is eschewing the catchy slogan bit, but he does have signs specifically for women to wave.

They say, “I’m a Morris County Republican woman and I support Rob Zwigard.”

As county committee members lined up to register, they were also offered food and drinks at dueling candidate receptions.

All signs pointed to a close vote, although one DeFilippis booster predicted his man would win by about 40.

Maybe.

A neutral observer said it looked like Zwigard was the “flavor” of the night.

Emotions have been high and a Parsippany cop is on hand.
