Toward the Endzone: Cumberland Clerk has Received Over 38% of Ballots Issued

Clerk Riley

The up-to-date returns so far out of Cumberland County, according to Clerk Celeste Riley:

Of 88,225 ballots issued, her office received 34,043.

Of that number, 15,791 ballots are Democratic, 9,325 Republican and 8,928 unaffiliated.

It’s higher than that by now since the last full date was 10/23, according to the clerk.

Insiders are watching Cumberland, which constitutes roughly 18% of the voter base in Congressional District 2, which is where incumbent U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-2) is trying to fend off a robust, financially well-connected challenger by Democrat Amy Kennedy.

Registered Democrats outnumber Republicans in Cumberland 31,835 to 19,521.
