Trenton Mayor-Elect Gusciora Names Transition Team Co-Chairs

Trenton is seeing a power struggle between Mayor Reed Gusciora and Council President Kathy McBride.

TRENTON –  Assemblyman Reed Gusciora (D-15) will proceed with the appointments of the following people to lead his transition to City Hall. The mayor-elect will be sworn in next Sunday, July 1st.

Elvin Montero, Jeannine LaRue, and Anne LaBate will oversee the Mayor-Elect’s transition team. All three co-chairs have extensive experience in city and state politics. Their combined half-century of government work will prove vital in the coming weeks.

Ali Wilson will serve as the executive director of the transition team.

“I’m very excited that the chairs accepted my invitation to serve as the initial transition committee.  In the coming week, specific committees and their membership will also be announced regarding each of the departments in City Hall,” said Gusciora. “It is hoped  that the transition committees will set the stage for the incoming Administration and help lay the foundation for the next four years.”

“The transition team will engage in community dialogues in order to receive public input and suggestions for City Hall,” said Gusciora.

During his campaign Asm. Gusciora stressed that his Administration would be diverse, inclusive, and focused on getting the Capital City ‘back to the basics.’ The Transition Committee can be contacted at trentontransition2018@gmail.com.
