Today, Congressman Van Drew announced his appointment to serve as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight for the 119th Congress.
“It is an honor to be selected by Chairman Jordan to lead the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Oversight,” said Congressman Van Drew. “We have a big job ahead of us to restore trust in federal agencies, investigate government overreach, and protect the freedoms of all Americans. This subcommittee will maintain its jurisdictional oversight over agencies such as the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), and others. Our work will demand full transparency and ensure the federal government serves the people, not the other way around. With our commitment to advancing conservative policies and fulfilling President Trump’s top priorities, we will deliver the results the American people deserve. It is time to get to work.” “We’re looking forward to having Chairman Jeff Van Drew return to Judiciary Committee for the 119th Congress,” said House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (OH-04). “As the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight, he will work with House Republicans to secure our border, make our cities safe again, and deliver transparency to the American people.” |
