Van Drew to Fauci: ‘Don’t let the Door Hit You on the Way Out’

Van Drew tonight

Today, Congressman Van Drew responded to Dr. Fauci’s announcement that he will be stepping down from the Biden Administration with a reminder that his resignation will not save him from being investigated next Congress for lying to the American people and for his disastrous COVID-19 response.

“Over the last two years, Dr. Fauci has expected the American people to blindly follow his rules and regulations despite him being a federal bureaucrat that is unable to be held accountable by the public,” said Congressman Van Drew. “Dr. Fauci forced businesses to close or lay off workers, forced Americans to wear masks and receive up to five jabs of the COVID-19 vaccine, forced our children to miss out on vital development through in-person learning, and forced Americans to miss funeral services, weddings, and family gatherings. The American people could do nothing as Dr. Fauci responded to the pandemic week after week with new, and often contradicting, guidelines.

“Dr. Fauci and the Biden administration must be investigated. There has yet to be an investigation conducted regarding the origins of the coronavirus, despite countless testimony that this virus was manufactured in a Chinese lab. We must get to the bottom of what role China played in the world-wide outbreak of COVID-19, how much Dr. Fauci knew about its origins, and what kind of research the National Institute of Health (NIH) were conducting in Wuhan, China. Dr. Fauci resigning will not stop Congress from finally getting answers to critical questions for the American public.

“Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, Dr. Fauci.”

  1. Dr. Anthony Fauci is to be respected. He was
trying with good faith, to keep the citizens of
the U.S. alive. So, don’t be too critical. No one
had all the answers yesterday or today.

  3. How sad a response to a man who tried his best to advise a nation. If understanding disease was so easy than cancer would have been eradicated long ago. Dr. Fauci always seemed to look at the facts in front of him at the time and give his best educated opinion on how to proceed and yes his advice changed as the facts in front of him changed. That is how a scientist or a doctor operates. Mr. Van Drew needs to focus on real policies that he can influence and stop questioning medical guidance from over 2 years ago.

  4. Takeaway: There is not enough free trolling online. Let’s deal with the trolling shortage by re-electing more officials with no interest in governing and pay them $174,000 annually. Van Drew doesn’t know or pretends not to know that the rules and regulations (the guidelines) came from a 28-member White House Coronavirus Task Force that included not only the more visible Dr. Fauci but also Mike Pence, Deborah Brix, Ben Carson, Ken Cuccinelli, Larry Kudlow, and Steven Mnuchin. Van Drew calls for Dr. Fauci and the Biden Administration to be investigated, so he doesn’t know or pretends not to know that Dr. Fauci was appointed to the task force on January 29, 2020 during the Trump Administration (“Just stay calm. It will go away.”).
