Vineland Shines with Pacheco in Chiefs Super Bowl Win
Born and raised in Vineland, Pop Warner product Isiah Pacheco won the Super Bowl last night as the starting running back of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The former Rutgers University star of Puerto Rican heritage went to the NFL in 2022 as a seventh-round draft pick by the Chiefs.
Last night, Kansas City defeated the San Francisco Forty-niners 25-22.
“It’s phenomenal,” Pacheco told KMBC. “Last year, I wasn’t satisfied. This year I’m satisfied, but I know there’s three more on the way.”
Pacheco finished the game with 59 yards on 18 carries and 33 yards on six receptions.
“Isiah Pacheco, a proud son of Vineland, has once again showcased the tremendous potential and spirit of our great city by winning the Super Bowl last night,” said state Senator Mike Testa (R-1), of Vineland. “His victory is not just his own, but a testament to the resilience, dedication, and exceptional character that defines Vineland. As he soars on the national stage, he carries with him the heart and soul of our city, proving that from Vineland, champions are born. #VinelandStrong.”
