The Assembly is heading to floor now, just after midnight, to vote on the budget, which is expected to pass.

GOP Minority Leader Bramnick rose and spoke, lauding Prieto for his willingness to compromise and listen.  “We should never have a shutdown again,” he added.  The chamber applauded both sentiments.

Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter also commended Prieto, urging her colleagues to rise and applaud the man at the rostrum.
